If you'd like to help there are so many ways in which you can. Some require only a little of your time and others may require more. All help is valued and valuable.
1. Make a financial donation. A one-off payment, a regular monthly amount, a christmas gift or a legacy, all donations big or small matter and are essential in funding the work we do.
2.Donate unwanted gifts for raffle and Tombola prizes.
3.Donate good quality secondhand clothes, bags, shoes and housewares.
4.Offer help at a fund raising event.Manning the Rescue stall , helping with refreshments and promoting the work we do. ( your dog's welcome as a doggie ambassador provided they are sociable and enjoy meeting and greeting both people and dogs).
5.Help give the dogs in kennels a daily walk, some special time with people and the love and training they are missing.As often as your lifestyle allows.
6.Organise a fund raising event on our behalf . A dog show, a doggie stroll or even a doggie wedding!!!
7.Become a trustee. Help decide the way forward for the group.and bring your energy and passion to this sometimes difficult and challenging role.
8.Become an officer of the group with additional responsibilities for the welfare of the dogs in our care. Be this as responsible for liaison with vets.This could involve routine and emergency transport of all dogs including ill, injured or pregnant dogs.Keeping treatment and medication records.
It could be some responsibility for liaising with the boarding kennels on the arrival of new dogs and the viewing of the resident dogs by potential new homes and helping maintain records and information that a caring kennels need to ensure each dogs individual needs are met.
9.Foster for a short term , any very young, ill or disabled dog.Or give a long term foster placement to a golden oldie, with financial support for their veterinary needs.
10.Help by being a listening ear.Use your experience to man the phone and deal with enquiries and also to do follow up calls that reassure new adopters that the are not alone.
